• Dressing for Winter

Happy New year to you all and welcome to new members, thank you for joing the site, I hope you enjoy it!

Well,Christmas was as hectic as usual and my machine was not, I am sorry to say put to much use as my darling cherubs were all off school. I did manage to whip up a wrap dress that I will be selling as a made to measure dress, the dress pattern itself is not going to be up for grabs I'm afraid.

I was thinking about all the beautiful dresses I have made and how it was such a shame I couldn't wear them (at least not in the UK, my Australian customers are dancing away in them as I write), so I decided to try wearing a long sleeve top underneath to create layers and warmth along with warm thick denier tights and knee high boots. What do you think? I love the look because I can wear my dresses and keep warm. I was shopping in this outfit the other day and I got loads of compliments from people I didn't know and a few people I bumped into in my village that I did know..So my wardrobe is now bright and colourful for winter too! I also have some amazing new winter hand made crocheted shawls take a look at those, they are all unique one offs so once they are gone they are gone!

I am working on a new pattern for an elegant 1930's style dress, beautiful, so watch this space, I am only going to sell a limited number (only 50) of the pattern and then offer it as a made to measure dress after that, so form a queue ladies!
